This Time Around

This book was funny, serious, romantic, informative,suspenseful - all the good things that books should be. The characters had depth and warmth though there were a few times when some transitions could have been a little smoother.

Too long though.

The read was sedate. Nothing fabulous but okay.

Page turner with a very good take on recovering from broken dreams and broken trust. Good focus on forgiving the people who hurt us as well as ourselves so that we can move on.

Excellent book!!!! Thank you for keeping the sex scenes something I could stomach and in good taste. Appreciate you.

This was well written and kept my interest throughout. A little slow in some parts but a great story. Definitely worth reading.

Well written love story. Enjoyed the ranch setting. Only criticism is that one of the main characters is named after a Cooper’s hawk!

Great from beginning to end!

Oh my goodness!!!! This Time Around was such an amazing story!

Take one damaged, heartbroken, strong, determined woman (Rebecca) throw in a HOT, also heartbroken, sincere, man (Cooper) and what do you get????? I'll tell you: an amazing love story of two people who have been emotionally destroyed by the ones who are supposed to never hurt them in ways that they have.

I loved how the story progressed (and also the relationship development between Rebecca and Cooper); it was spot on, not too fast and not too slow. The supporting characters also played a huge part of the story as well (which I am keeping my fingers crossed that we will see all of them again.......).

This was a great read! It had me in tears at some spots, and swooning at others. If ever there were two characters that needed each other, it was Cooper and Rebecca. They both were probably at their lowest when meeting, and they just clicked (even if Rebecca didn’t want to lol) I loved seeing each of their characters grow, and the story line was fantastic. There was a huge suspense element that I felt could have been touched on more, and it wasn’t really resolved. Other than that, this was a great read I would definitely recommend.

This Time Around by Stacey Lynn is a contemporary romance about two people struggling with their past and learning to move forward, becoming the best of friends while doing so. Told in dual POV this book absolutely blew my socks off with it's gentle blend of moving on from a lost love and learning to love again mixed with some sexy moments that made me swoon!

Rebecca is still mourning the loss of her husband. She is harboring a secret about his last days that no one else knows and she is too ashamed to share. It's making the loss of Joseph even worse for her - se can't miss him without also being mad at him and being mad at a dead man just causes her crippling guilt. When her uncle decides to send an A-list Hollywood actor/heartthrob to her ranch for the summer to give him a chance to get away and to also help her now she is on her own she reluctantly agrees.

Cooper is desperate to get away from the spotlight and the paparazzi that has been hounding him thanks to his soon-to-be ex-wife and her flair for dramatics. When his agent, Max, suggests a trip to Kansas for the summer to get away he takes him up on the offer. Anything has to be better than LA right now. What he doesn't expect is the closed-off beauty ghat is Rebecca Splendid or his undeniable attraction to not just her physical appearance but her strength and determination and kindness.

Romantic, slightly suspenseful, heartwarming, sexy and detailed this story was everything you want in a romance. Enjoy!

Cooper and Rebecca's story really struck a chord with me. These were two people from totally different places and yet their broken souls found a connection in each other that they wouldn't have found anywhere else. Both of them are lost after their marriages have ended. Cooper's going through a divorce from a wife he thought he was meant to have forever with and Rebecca lost the love of her life in an accident. When Cooper heads to Rebecca's ranch to escape Hollywood for a while, he never would have expected to find love there.

This story had me all twisted up inside. I absolutely adored Cooper. He wasn't a typical Hollywood guy who slept his way around. He believed in relationships and forever and I think that makes him such a great character. He was smitten with Rebecca. She was a tougher nut to crack with all she had been through. I loved her strength and the woman that she was. These two got under my skin and I fell in love with their story. I was only about a quarter into the book when I knew this was a story I was going to hold near and dear. Fantastic read and I hope there are many more stories to come in this small town!
