4 Stars. Typically fun Patterson read. Quick. Grabs you right away. This one had a few nice turns to keep me thinking. My only complaint is that I figured out the final twist too soon. There were others though that held up well. Patterson books feel like summer and it’s almost here.

Quite the journey…the rise and fall and further fall and rise again of a very intriguing lawyer central character with a great supporting cast and some excellent twists and turns. A terrific book that I looked forward to reading each night at bedtime. I highly recommend this one.

Patterson is great but this story is not believable and the post trial antics don’t really relate to the trial story.

I loved the book a different story line than he usually writes . That’s what made it so great. Patterson is one of my favorite authors. He is right up there with Grisham and Lescroart. Write more books like this one.

And to think I was getting bored with Grisham’s work. Patterson and his army of ghost writers can’t hold a candle to him. Flimsy, cutesy writing with ridiculously unrealistic depictions of courtroom action. A page turner only in the sense that I just wanted to get it over with.

It had been too long since I had read one of this author’s books. It was as twisty and unexpected as I remember. The story follows the main character, Stafford Lee Penney. We see him through several different stages in his career and life. Imagine being at the top of your game, and then having it all taken away. This storyline was so interesting and intense pretty much from page one. I know there’s always people that say they had it figured out, but I’ll admit that I was surprised. Definitely give this book a try. See if you can figure it out.
